Dr Marc Abecassic

Dr Marc Abecassic is a plastic surgeon who has initiated and developed the field of surgery of the external genitalia since 1992, in particular penoplasty expansion and vulvar surgery. He has been helping to standardize the work in these areas and develop new techniques in France and abroad for 20 years now (including university training and recurring cycles). His experience is based on more than 2000 interventions.
Dr Catherine Bergeret-Galley

Dr Bergeret-Galley is a board certified plastic surgeon and belongs to the main societies of Plastic Surgery: SOFCPRE ,SOCFCEP, ASAPS and ISAPS. She trained in Paris and then in United States but accomplished her residency in France during 6 years with 2 years of experience in maxillofacial surgery focusing on facial development abnormalities, and reconstruction after cancer and did 2 years of specific training in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Dr Bergeret-Galley was chief resident and assistant at the University Paris V for 3 years She is a Regional Editor for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal and Aesthetic Surgery Journal. She writes articles on fillers, fat transfers and body contouring surgery. In private practice she still does reconstruction but focuses more on aesthetic facial rejuvenation, surgical and non-surgical, aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring after obesity, genital surgery, fat transfer and stem cell stimulation. She is an expert in the chemical bio-compatibility of fillers and teaches a reasonable approach on new fillers. At present she is vice-president of the Illouz Foundation.
Dr Matthieu Beustes-Stefanelli

Dr Beustes-Stefanelli is a French Plastic & Hand Surgeon. He is a fellow of EBOPRAS (the European Baard of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery). He made his training in France, however he is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Plastic & Hand Surgery Unit of Valais Hospital in Sion, Switzerland. His main activities are: Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery - Hand, Wrist and Peripheral Nerves Surgery. Dr Beustes-Stefanelli is a founder member of the M.E.G.A. HAND (Multidisciplinary European Group for Aesthetics of the HAND). He teaches the Diploma of Hand Surgery at the University of Paris headed by Pr Ch. Dumontier (topic: Hand rejuvenation). He is also involved in plastic surgery and hand surgery humanitarian missions in Africa and South America as a member of La Chaine de l'Espoir.
Dr Michel Costagliola

Pr Costagliola is Officer of the Academics Palms, Knight in the National Order of Merit and of Legion of Honour. He was Vice-President of the International Society for Burn Injuries (1999-2004). He is responsible for scientific coordination as part of the Executive Committee of the Mediterranean Burns and Fire Disasters Council. Dr Costagliola has previously served as the President of several organisations, namely: French Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, as weil as French Society of Burns. He was previously President of the National Council of French Universities (Plastic surgery section), National delegate of "Union Européenne de Médecine Spécialisée "(UEMS), and General Secretary of European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS). He hold in 2005, the Burns International "Whitaker." Prize. At the present time, he is Emeritus Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (Toulouse University).
Dr Emmanuel Delay

Dr Emmanuel Delay received his medical training in Lyon, Toulouse, Brussels, and the US. He is a surgeon, board certified in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery since 1991. He is a member of the French Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has published 130 scientific and medical articles, books or book chapters about plastic and aesthetic surgery. He has also co-authored the SOFCPRE report on breast prostheses and is regularly invited to give lectures. Dr DELAY is currently working part-time as a reconstructive surgeon at Léon Bérard Cancer Center (Lyon). He holds an academic appointment at Lyon-1 University and is also involved in a stem cell research group. He has a private practice of aesthetic surgery at the Charcot Clinic (Lyon). Hi research in plastic and aesthetic surgery of the breast and the face, oncoplastic surgery, fat cell transplantation, and stem cells has led to major advances in the field over the past fifteen years, notably he is a pioneer of the lipomodeling technique and fat grafting to the breast.
Dr Badwi Elias

Dr Elias is a specialist in Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery and a senior physician at the Geneva University Hospital. He graduated with magna cum laude from the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. Dr Elias created the lipodystrophy group with the dermatologist and the infectiologist of Geneva University Hospital. He teaches residents students in plastic and aesthetic surgery and microsurgery procedures in Geneva, such as aesthetic surgery of the face and also aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast. He is also in charge of treating the patients who develop lipodystrophy following treatment with HIV therapy. Dr Elias is a consultant for vascular maformations at Geneva Univesity Hospitals. He has presented numerous scientific papers in meetings including the Congress of the Belgian, French and Swiss Societies of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Finally, he has published in many international journals including "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal" and "Obesity Surgery". Dr Elias is a member of the Belgian and the Swiss Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Surgery.He is also a member of Geneva Medical Associations.
Prof. Dennis Hurwitz

Dennis J. Hurwitz, MD, FACS, is Clinical Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School, and the director of the Hurwitz Center for Plastic Surgery. He was the first director the Craniofacial Surgery program in 1978 and of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center in 1996 at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Hurwitz is a Clinical Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal , and section editor for Body Contouring Surgery for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal and a frequent reviewer of major plastic surgery journals. He has authored over 160 scientific papers and book chapters as well as the Total Body Lift for patient education in 2005. Over the past twelve years, Dr. Hurwitz has focused on body contouring surgery, most notably after massive weight loss. He conceived Total Body Lift surgery and has initiated new or modified existing operations such as the L Brachioplasty, Spiral Thighplasty, Boomerang correction of Gynecomastia, the J Torsoplasty and Spiral Flap reshaping of the breasts.
Dr Magalon

Professor Guy Magalon specialises in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is the Burn center Head of Department at the Conception Hospital. In the past he has served as the President of the French Society for Surgery of the Hand (GEM) (2001) and the President of the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery French Society(2005). Dr Magalon was also on the Scientific Council of the Avenir Foundation(2006). In 2011 he was the President of Ebopras, European Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr S. Ali Modarressi

Dr Ali Modarressi is the “chief of clinic” of Plastic, Reconstructive & Plastic Surgery Department of University Hospital of Geneva in Switzerland. During his 10 years training in Switzerland, Dr. Modarressi acquired important experience in all areas of plastic surgery including cosmetic, reconstructive surgery and microsurgery. He is board certified with Swiss Diploma of Plastic, Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery (FMH) and a fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgeons (EBOPRAS). Major emphasis was placed on tissue regeneration with stem cells (fat grafting and platelet riche plasma) and wound healing, where he did an extensive research. Dr Juan Monreal

Dr Monreal has been in private practice since 1995 devoted mainly to Aesthetic Surgery. He manages the main surgical practice in Hospital San Rafael (Madrid). He has been performing autologous fat grafting since 1993 and in 1988 he developed his own method of fat extraction through specific cannulas. His technique has been published in several journals and presented in different courses and meetings. Dr Monreal is the President of the Spanish Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AECEP) In addition, he is a member of the Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SECPRE), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the International Federation of Adipose Therapeutics and Science (IFATS), and the Spanish Society of Therapeutic Applications of Fat Transfer (SETGRA). He serves as the Director of the IV National Congress of SETGRA Madrid 2012.
Prof Brigitte Pittet

Brigitte Pittet is Professor of Medicine and Head of the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Division, Department of Surgery, University of Geneva Hospitals. She is Vice-President of the Swiss Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and member of the executive committee of ESPRAS SHARE. Her main fields of interest are craniofacial reconstruction, breast reconstruction and microsurgical techniques. She participates regularly in surgical humanitarian missions related to noma. Prof. Pittet has received several awards for her research activities and is also the author of numerous publications.
Dr Ricardo Ribeiro

Dr Riberio is a member of Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS). He is a full Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Institute Carlos Chagas as well as a Corresponding Member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (APRS). Dr Riberio is the author of 8 books in Plastic Surgery. His special interests include body contour and breast surgery. He has published several scientific papers in national and international journals. Dr Ribeiro is a visiting professor at the University of Utah.
Dr Marc Richards

In private practice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area since 1990, Mark E. Richards is a cosmetic plastic surgeon specializing in facial rejuvenation, high definition body sculpting, and circumferential body lifts. Dr Michael Sheflan

Dr Michael Sheflan is ISAPS professor of Plastic Surgery and has a private practice in Tel Aviv, Israel. He has completed medical school in Switzerland and Israel as well as general surgery training in New York (Albert Einstein & Mount Sinai University) and Boston (Harvard University) and plastic surgery training in Georgia. He is past President of the Israel Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Mediterranean Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a member of ISAPS, IPRAS, ASAPS, ASPS and ICAPS. He is a liaison officer for the Israel Society of Plastic Surgeons and serves on the International Editorial board of Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Dr Sheflan is the author of more than 150 publications, book, and chapters on breast reconstruction, breast aesthetics, implans, fat grafting, body contouring and facial rejuvenation. He is a recipient of the James Barret Brown Award (PRS), the Raymond Villan Award (ASAPS) and the Carl Moyer Award (American Burn Association).
Dr Aris Sterodimas

Dr. Aris Sterodimas is the Head of Stem Surgery Clinic, and Consultant Plastic Surgeon in IASO General Hospital, in Athens, Greece. He is a member of the Postgraduate Association of Harvard Medical School and Semmelweis University. He pursued his residency in General Surgery at Mount Vernon Hospital in London UK. He obtained his Master degree in the field of Surgical Technology from Imperial College of London, United Kingdom.He completed his basic Plastic Surgery training in United Kingdom and he served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery in the Ivo Pitanguy Institute, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 2005, he has been actively involved in research of Stem Cells application in the field of Plastic Surgery and Regenerative Medicine. He has published 52 peer reviewed articles and he lectures worldwide. Dr Xavier Tenorio

Dr Tenorio validated his diploma of doctor in medicine in Spain, then went through the training program of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery in Geneva – Switzerland. He performed the last year of training in Paris at Rothschild Hospital increasing his skills in cosmetic surgery. Fundamental and clinic research during his residency allow Dr Tenorio to publish several papers in the domain of thermography in plastic surgery and in microcirculation. He obtained the federal specialization diploma in plastic surgery in2007 and opened his private practice after completing several training courses in the United States and Europe. Today Dr Tenorio runs the clinic ‘AESTHETICS – GENEVA’ focusing in aesthetics surgery, aesthetic medicine and laser therapies. Breast surgery, body contour and facial refreshment are the most important aspects cover in his praxis. Dr Tenorio is active member of the Swiss association of aesthetics and reconstructive surgeons and Fellow of the European Board of plastic and reconstructive surgeons.
Dr Kotaro Yoshimura

Prof. Yoshimura received his MD and PhD from the University of Tokyo School of Medicine. He was board certified in plastic surgery by the Japanese Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He is an active member of many international Societies such as AAPS, ASPS, ASAPS, PSRC, ISAPS and IPRAS, and a founding member of ISPRES under IPRAS. He is a plastic surgeon-scientist working for Dept. of Plastic Surgery, University of Tokyo; His research interests cover a variety of fields in plastic surgery such as skin biology, wound healing, angiogenesis, stem cells and tissue regeneration/repair, aging and rejuvenation, and hair regeneration. He published more than 100 English articles in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Medline and Journal Citation Report.
